What was the highlight of Phuket Emerald Beach Resort
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was good value for money.
The location is excellent - over the road from a lovely beach and next to some really good places to eat as well as some market areas. There were plenty of sun bed/ loungers on the beach to rent for the day. The hotel itself is impressive in style and the reception area is lovely. The turtle style roof is amazing . The rooms were brilliant - very big with a fabulous bathroom and lounge areas. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were kept very clean. There were lovely touches with little gifts for Chinese New Year and Valentines Day. The breakfast was excellent - a really good range of different foods to suit everybody. There were many different varieties of coffee and tea on offer as well as juices. The pool areas offered some shade and a lovely cool swim after a day on the beach and the swim up bars were well used at ‘Happy Hour’. The staff were friendly and helpful everywhere. The pool areas were brilliant for children, this was really impressive.
The showers were a bit ‘hit and miss’ in terms of temperature. They could be running warm and then suddenly be very hot or cold . Sometimes the water didn’t run at all for a short time. There is a lack of a comfortable bar area- with no dedicated bar area for the evening. It was in the dining room and the chairs are very uncomfortable in there. It would benefit from some comfortable chairs or settees etc. The centre of the hotel where the pools are is quite narrow and there was very little space for sun-beds or tables and chairs.

Good property for a leisure trip. Great location and the family room with pool access is a winner !
Location, size of room, pool and pool access from room and general cleanliness were great. It is across Karon beach. Food was great too
1. Requiring a deposit in cash or keep passport in lieu. This is the first hotel in ages which doesn’t take a credit card room deposit. Not sure why 2. The towels were not replenished or changed until I asked. 3. Coffee at breakfast buffet was a challenge. Cups got over, too few coffee machines etc. Despite having a Starbucks at the lobby

Great for families but if there's just the two of you avoid it!!
The pools are excellent especially for families but the hotel is rather crammed into its plot. No walkways around pool area and the Breakfast though fairly good selection wise really busy and often full Pool bar area is lovely - good happy hour Lovely big rooms
Very few sun beds or areas to sit and relax in
